If you are a new applicant who has never received support from any UK scheme and you believe that you were infected with Hepatitis C and/or HIV, as a result of NHS treatment with infected blood, blood products or tissue in the UK prior to September 1991 please apply as soon as possible.
In addition, we also welcome applications if you are within the following criteria;
People who contracted the infection from someone who falls into the above group, under one of the following circumstances;
- They are, or were, the spouse or civil partner of the person from whom the virus was transmitted
- They are, or were, living with the person from whom the virus was transmitted as partners in a long term relationship
- They are the child of an infected mother
